2nd Tryout for 2018 Summer - 14U Colts

Post 757 Baseball Tryouts - Summer 2018 14U Colts

The Post 757 Colts Baseball Program will be conducting tryouts for our 14U Post 757 Colts (2018) team for all current and new players Wednesday, July 26 2017. The tryouts will be at the Post 757 Hoffman Field at Mary Lou Patton Park in Chillicothe Ohio at 6:30 pm - players should arrive early and be ready to begin at 6:30 pm. If you are unable to attend this tryout please contact us to discuss an individual tryout.

This team finished up 2017 summer player with an overall record of 20 wins and 8 losses finishing up tournament play with two championships, one 2nd place finish and two 3rd place finishes and are currently ranked #13 out of 173 teams by Nations Baseball in the state of Ohio.

PLAYERS 16 - 19 years of age summer 2018: We will be doing our first fall tryout this Saturday, July 29 at 2 pm at Hoffman Field. Please contact Coach Barr at CoachBarr@chillicothebaseball if you have questions or cannot attend. This tryout is for both new players and 2017 players interested in playing with Post 757 in 2018.

We are sorry to share the tragic news that we lost a member of our baseball family earlier this week. Anthony was a member of the 2016 Post 757 American Legion team as our starting catcher. Anthony was a 2016 graduate of Gallia Academy and also received Associate's degree at the same time from the University of Rio Grande. Anthony went on to West Virginia Tech last fall playing baseball there while pursuing his Bachelor's degree. Anthony's visiting hours will be at 5 pm Friday with the Memorial Service to follow at 7 pm at Gallia Academy High School. Please keep Anthony's family in your prayers.

June 13 2017 - The Week Ahead for Post 757 Baseball

Chillicothe OH -- The Colts Baseball Program continued a very busy 2017 last week in which the 757 Baseball Program won 10 games and lost 6 with the Junior American Legion 757 team (overall record of 15 - 3) finishing 2nd place in the Hillsboro Tournament of Champions and the 13U 757 Team (overall record 10 - 3) finishing in 3rd place in the 24 team Grove City Classic. The 757 Colts (overall record 5 - 5, league record 2 - 1 ) knocked off rival Post 62 for another league win before dropping 2 games to South Carolina's #1 ranked team - the traditional powerhouse Florence Post 1 and then dropping a game to Georgetown. Overall for the 2017 summer season YOUR Chillicothe Post 757 Colts Program is 30 - 9.

Wednesday

The American Legion Post 757 Colts (5-5, 2-1) host Logan Post 78 at Hoffman Field, 6 pm start

Thursday

The Junior American Legion Colts host Portsmouth Post 23 at Hoffman Field for a doubleheader starting at 5:30 pm

The 13U Colts will be participating in the Nations Baseball Ohio State Tournament at Berliner Park in Columbus OH

Friday

The American Legion Post 757 Colts face Waverly Post 142 at 12 pm and Troy Post 43 at 2:30 at Shaffer Park in Hillsboro OH

The 13U Colts will be participating in the Nations Baseball Ohio State Tournament at Berliner Park in Columbus OH

Saturday

The American Legion Post 757 Colts play Reading PA Post 625 at 5:30 pm and Findlay Post 3 at Shaffer Park in Hillsboro OH

The Junior American Legion Colts host Jackson Post 81 at Hoffman Field for a doubleheader starting at 1 pm

The 13U Colts will be participating in the Nations Baseball Ohio State Tournament at Berliner Park in Columbus OH

Sunday

The American Legion Post 757 Colts will be participating in the Hillsboro Wood Bat tournament at Shaffer Park in Hillsboro OH

Post 757 Finishes 3rd Place in Grove City Classic

Grove City OH -- The Chillicothe 13U Colts (10 - 3) continue to play well as they win 4 of 5 games in the Grove City Classic this past weekend to finish up the tournament with a 3rd Place Finish. The Colts are currently ranked as the #8 team by Nations Baseball in the 13U select division and will continue tournament play this weekend in the 2017 Nations Baseball Ohio State tournament at Berliner Park.

The Week Ahead for Post 757 Baseball - June 5, 2017

Chillicothe OH -- Coming off a very busy weekend in which the Post 757 Baseball Program won 11 games there's still plenty of baseball to come this week for the Colts Program.

Monday

Monday's game at Shawnee State University against Portsmouth Post 23 has been postponed due to weather.

Tuesday

The Colts (4 - 2, 1 - 1) travel to Ross County Ball Park to play SCOL foe Chillicothe Post 62 at 6 pm.

The JR Colts travel to Greenup County High School for a doubleheader beginning at 5:30 pm

Wednesday

The JR Colts host Logan Post 78 at Hoffman Field at Mary Lou Patton Park for a doubleheader beginning at 5:30 pm.

Thursday

The Colts visit Horry County Post 111 for a 7 inning game at Conway High School in Conway SC.

Friday

The Colts visit 2016 American Legion World Series runner-up Florence Post 1 for a 9 inning game at 7:30 pm at Legion Field in Florence SC. Post 1 is currently ranked #1 in the state and has a long tradition of American Legion Baseball!

The JR Colts will participate in the Hillsboro Tournament of Champions at Shaffer Park in Hillsboro Ohio.

The 13U Colts will participate in the Grove City Summer Classic in Grove City Ohio where they are scheduled to play the Bats Baseball Club at 6 pm at Fryer Park East 1.

Saturday

The Colts square off with Georgetown Post 114 for a 9 inning game at historic Mike Johnson Park. The Colts last visited Mike Johnson Park in June 2015 and are excited to go back.

The JR Colts will participate in the Hillsboro Tournament of Champions at Shaffer Park in Hillsboro Ohio.

The 13U Colts will participate in the Grove City Summer Classic in Grove City Ohio where they are scheduled to play the Scioto Sluggers at 10:15 am at Fryer Park West 2 and the Pickerington Predators at 2:45 pm at Fryer Park West 4 field.

Sunday

The JR Colts will participate in the Hillsboro Tournament of Champions at Shaffer Park in Hillsboro Ohio.

The 13U Colts will participate in the Grove City Summer Classic in Grove City Ohio

Junior Colts Kickoff Klassic Champions

Chillicothe OH -- The Chillicothe Post 757 Colts Junior American Legion team battled all weekend to reach the championship game of the 2017 Summer Kickoff Klassic. Due to a team pulling out two days before the tournament started the Colts were asked to play an extra game. In three days the Colts went 6 - 1 playing 2 games on Friday, 4 games on Saturday and winning the championship game 7 - 5 over Utica on Sunday.
