Chillicothe, OH - - Hoffman Field at Mary Lou Patton Park
Game 1, final 12-8 loss. The Colts belt out 17 hits but struggle again fielding the baseball! Lucas Foglesong has another good outing in the no-decision as he works 4 innings with 6 strikeouts but also gives up 5 earned runs. Foglesong helps himself quite a bit at the plate as he has 4 hits, 2 RBIs, and 2 runs scored. Nick Salyer’s bat is starting to heat up as he drops his first bomb of the summer along with two other hits and 3 RBIs in the league loss. Other contributors to the Colts offense include Bryce McWhorter (3 hits, RBI), Emmitt Cunningham (2 hits, RBI) as well as Drew Seymour, Roman Long, and Daniel Haller (hit, RBI).
Reliever Bryce McWhorter works 3 innings and gives up only 1 earned run with no walks and a strikeout. The Colts defense gives up 6 unearned runs in the game in the loss.
Game 2, final 12-2 win, 6 innings. The Colts bounce back in game 2 as Jaden McNish delivers 4 hits in the mercy-run 6 inning game. McNish belts out 3 doubles and 2 RBIs to give starter Kyle Wingo plenty of run support. Wingo goes 3.1 innings and strikes outs 2 batters in the start. Relievers Drew Seymour, Roman Long, and McNish work 2.2 innings of relief giving up 2 hits and no runs to shut the door on the Renegades. Offensively the bats continue producing in the second game as the Colts belt out 12 hits and the defense makes significant improvements with only 1 error! Centerfielder Emmitt Cunningham collects two hits and 2 RBIs. Catcher Carter Glandon adds a hit and an RBI for the Colts and continues to do an excellent job this summer behind the dish while leadoff hitter Foglesong continues to produce with a 3 RBI triple. Several others contributed at the plate with RBI singles including Cole Ratcliff, Sugar Ray Bone Byers, Zane Joseph, and Lane Larson.
The Colts jump into tournament play this week as we head to the Hillsboro Wood Bat Tournament at Shaffer Park with the opening game Friday morning at 10 am.

Chillicothe OH - - YOUR Chillicothe 757 Colts continued some sloppy play in the second game of the season falling behind 8-2 after the first five innings of play. Fortunately, the Colts were able to string together multiple hits in the bottom of the 6th inning to make it a tie game heading into the 7th inning. The big 2-run blast off by Emmitt Cunningham’s bat on the 0-2 count scoring both Daniel Haller and Cunningham to give the Colts a 10-8 victory over a very good Dayton Classics club.
The Colts earned the victory despite allowing the Dayton Classics to score five runs in the top of the 5th inning. The Colts tied up the game at 8 in the bottom of the 6th inning with Kyle Wingo's double to score 2 runs. The 6th inning proved to be a productive one as the Colts scored six runs total with Drew Seymour, Cole Ratcliff and DC Dailey driving in runs before Wingo’s double.
On the bump, the Colts were able to get an early look at several arms with Daniel Haller, Bryce McWhorter, Nick Salyer, Lucas Foglesong, Cole Ratcliff, Roman Long, Drew Seymour, and Ryan Schwartz all getting an inning of work.
The Colts open up league play Sunday at Branch Rickey Field as they square off with the Portsmouth 23 Blue Jays for a 2 pm DH.

Teams will play seven-inning games (weather permitting).
A two-hour time limit will be in effect for all games on Friday & Saturday of the tournament; the official time will be noted by the home plate umpire and start from the 1st pitch of the game (NOTE: It is the responsibility of both coaches to determine start time with the umpire). No new innings will start after 2 hours. If a game is tied when the two hour time limit goes into affect the shootout rule applies: The visiting team puts the player that made the last out in the previous inning on second base. All new batters start with 3 balls & 2 strikes. Teams will begin the inning with 0 outs. After 2 extra innings are completed and the game remains tied, both teams will tie and be credited with 1/2 a point for seeding purposes. All teams should be at the field at least 30 minutes prior to their game time - the next game will start 15 minutes after the previous game.
No time limit will be used in the championship round on Sunday.
The Home team will be the official book for that particular game. Visiting coaches are encouraged to check with the home team coaches to make sure books are in sync.
In the event of a forfeit the winning team will be credited with a 1-0 victory for seeding purposes. If possible, the tournament committee will resolve forfeits by making scheduling changes. Forfeits will be used ONLY if schedule changes can not be made to accommodate teams.
